Diversity and race equality

In line with the requirements of the Race Relations Amendment Act, 2000 and the Race Relations Act 1976 (Statutory Duties)(Scotland) Order 2000, Central Scotland Police have developed its Race Equality Scheme. This document outlines the forces commitment to promoting race equality with specific regard to:-

  • eliminating unlawful racial discrimination,
  • promoting equality of opportunity, and
  • promoting good relations between people of different racial groups.

Three Year Action Plan

The Scheme is accompanied by a Three Year Action Plan which specifies how we will meet our obligations under this legislation. It is envisaged that the Action Plan will change during the Three Year period and will be subject to review on an annual basis.
