Central Scotland Police service is committed to providing a quality service that is fair, accessible and meets the needs of our employees and our communities.
The Gender Equality Duty is the biggest change in sex equality law in thirty years. We welcome this duty and are pleased to publish our first Gender Equality Scheme in response to these new responsibilities.
The Scheme is a statutory obligation under the Gender Equality Duty, the purpose of which is to: eliminate unlawful discrimination and harassment; and achieve equality of opportunity between women and men.
The three year scheme will show how we will promote gender equality in our employment and service delivery processes. It sets out the actions we are making on gender equality to ensure that we meet and surpass our legal responsibilities.
