Policing

All operational Policing in Central Scotland is overseen by T/Asst Chief Constable Gordon Samson. He is supported by two Chief Superintendents - Gordon Mackenzie and David Flynn.

Chief Supt Mackenzie has responsibility for Crime and Specialist Operations. His remit includes Crime Management Services, Road Policing and Support Services and Resource and Demand Management, which includes the Service Centre and Force Communications and Control Centre.

T/Chief Supt Flynn holds responsibility for Communities Policing. This encompasses the operational policing response across all three Area Commands (Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling) and other services such as Community / Neighbourhood Policing, Criminal Justice, Community Planning, Licensing and Custody Management.

The third key area of policing in Central Scotland is Corporate and Operational Support. This includes areas such as Human Resources, Professional Standards, Communications & Marketing, Strategic Development, Emergencies and Event Planning and the Business Services Unit.

The Deputy Chief Constable maintains strategic responsibility for areas within Corporate and Operational Support.
