Staff Development

This unit deals with police and support staff appraisal systems and the process of staff selection for internal and external advertised posts. Both of these areas are crucial in ensuring the development of staff and that we have the right people in the right posts at the right time.

Members of the unit have been heavily involved in the introduction of the Force moderation process, which is intended to provide a fair, open, and transparent system for promotion of police officers.
